The G20 Young Entrepreneurs (G20 YEA) is a global network of young entrepreneurs from G20 countries. Each year, ahead of the G20 political summit, they meet to discuss common issues related to entrepreneurship and make concrete recommendations to their respective governments.
The G20 YEA objectives :
- Promote dialogue and the exchange of experiences between young entrepreneurs in the G20.
- Identify common challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship in G20 countries.
- Formulate concrete recommendations to improve the entrepreneurial environment in G20 countries.
- Promote entrepreneurship as a driver of sustainable and inclusive growth.
The 2024 edition of the G20 YEA Summit is being held in São Paulo and Goiânia, Brazil, from 10 to 14 June 2024.
The summit participants are 800 entrepreneurs from G20 countries, selected on the basis of their entrepreneurial track record, their commitment and their potential for impact.
Patrick GIUDICELLI, CEO of AKIO, is one of the 24 representatives from France.AKIO has been selected because of its impact on innovation in the customer relations sector: it was the first publisher to introduce AI into the contact centre in France, to analyse the voice of the customer, to integrate UCaaS collaborative softphony functionalities…
This year’s theme is ‘Entrepreneurs for an inclusive and sustainable future’. During the summit, participants will be working on a range of themes, including:
- Access to finance
- Women’s entrepreneurship
- Social and environmental entrepreneurship
- Entrepreneurial skills
- Internationalisation of businesses
- Data sovereignty
- Customer experience
On these last two points, the actions of the G20 YEA could have a positive impact by promoting an entrepreneurial culture that is both respectful and innovative. The G20 YEA is encouraging entrepreneurs to develop solutions that meet customers’ needs more effectively and in a more personalised way, in compliance with the RGPD. This can lead to the emergence of new businesses offering products and services that are more attractive to consumers and B2B decision-makers. It also guarantees rich discussions with players from regions of the world that do not approach these issues in the same way.
In a more indirect but very concrete way, the work on strengthening inclusion and diversity in entrepreneurship, promoting female entrepreneurship and valuing young entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds, helps to broaden the entrepreneurial base and create businesses that better reflect the diversity of expectations.
At the end of the summit, the participants will draw up a joint communiqué containing concrete recommendations for their respective governments. These recommendations will then be forwarded to the G20 leaders at the G20 Political Summit.
